SUBTEL Resolution 737 SUBTEL Resolution 737 establishes new mandatory requirements for the commercialization of short-range devices in Chile. The regulation is now in effect and all devices must comply with QR code and technical documentation requirements.
This resolution, issued by the Undersecretary of Telecommunications (SUBTEL), regulates the importation, distribution and commercialization of radio frequency equipment in Chile. SUBTEL.

Under the new Resolution 737 (effective February 2026), most short-range devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, RFID) no longer require formal SUBTEL certification. You only need a QR code with technical documentation on your packaging.
Exception: Only medical equipment (sections g and h) still requires SUBTEL certification.
Prerequisite: Having a representative with legal domicile in Chile is mandatory. If you don't have local presence, we can act as your representative.
